Snow disrupts education in 10 districts of Ordu
The Ordu Governor's Office has announced a one-day suspension of education in all schools across 7 districts and in specific schools across 3 districts due to heavy snowfall and icing.
In a statement issued by the Ordu Governor's Office, it was stated that education has been suspended for one day on November 27 due to snowfall and icing affecting the inland parts of the province. The statement noted, "Education has been suspended for one day on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, in all official and private educational institutions in all of our Akkuş, Aybastı, Çaybaşı, Gölköy, Gürgentepe, Kabataş, and Mesudiye districts; in the schools located in the Yukarıdamlalı, Aşağıdamlalı, Ergentürk, Eskiçokdeğirmen, Güneycik, Erikçeli, Konaklı, and Divantürk neighborhoods of our Kumru district, as well as the Yunus Emre Special Education Practice School; in the schools located in the Pelitliyatak neighborhood of our Ünye district; and in all transport-centered schools in our Ulubey district."
The statement also indicated that public employees with disabilities and pregnant public employees in the districts where education has been fully or partially suspended will be considered on administrative leave on the same day.
