In an incident at a girls' dormitory on Necmettin Erbakan Boulevard in the Polatlı district of Ankara, Mizgin Ertekin (20), a student in the Beauty Department at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, was critically injured after falling from the 4th floor of the dormitory where she was staying.

The young woman, who was rushed to the hospital, lost her life in the morning hours despite all medical interventions.

The funeral of Mizgin Ertekin, who was born in the Yüksekova district of Hakkari, was held in Istanbul following autopsy procedures at the Council of Forensic Medicine.

DETAILS OF THE INCIDENT EMERGE

It has been alleged that Ertekin had been experiencing psychological problems recently, and that during the incident, she was talking to a friend who then went to the restroom, after which Ertekin headed toward the window and threw herself down.

It was revealed that one day before her death, Mizgin Ertekin had shared a post stating, "I was not a woman worth fighting for. No flowers are bought for me either; a flower will be placed on my grave, and even that will not smell for me."
