Some roads in Sarıyer to be closed at weekend due to Night Marathon
Due to the Night Marathon Road Race, traffic arrangements will be made on some avenues and streets in Sarıyer from 19.00 on Saturday, July 4.
Some routes will be closed to vehicle traffic at the weekend due to the “Night Marathon Road Race” to be held in Istanbul’s Sarıyer district. The Traffic Inspection Branch Directorate of the Istanbul Police Department announced the roads that will be closed as part of the event and alternative routes for drivers.
According to the arrangement, the closures will begin at 19.00 on Saturday, July 4, and will continue until the event ends.
ROUTES TO BE CLOSED
Due to the event, Bahçeköy, Meserburnu, Piyasa, Haydar Aliyev, Mısır, Hacı Ali Paşa, Raif Bey, Hacı Osman Bayırı, Demokrasi Şehitleri and Çayırbaşı avenues, as well as Çayırbaşı Taksim Road, will be closed to vehicle traffic.
In the area, vehicle passage will also not be allowed on Sardunya, Çıra, Çocuk, Fırın, Hamam, Çam Yolu, Kefeliköy Bağlar, Kumsal Arkası, Bülbül, Muhtarlık, Kaptan, Kısa, Ekbiç, Mezarlık, Okul, 2. Tekstilciler, Sırma and Keçecizade streets. Billur, Emsal and Piyasa cul-de-sacs were also included in the closure.

It was stated that drivers could use the Sarıyer-Çayırbaşı Road and the Sarıyer-Çayırbaşı Tunnel as alternatives to the closed routes.
Other alternative routes that will remain open include Hacı Osman Bayırı Avenue, Şehit Mithat Yılmaz Avenue, Yeni Mahalle Avenue, Bahçeköy Avenue, Tarabya Bayırı Avenue and Yeniköy-Tarabya Avenue. Authorities asked drivers heading to the area to pay attention to traffic signs and directions.
