Son in Edirne theft report: Woman's son identified as suspect
An investigation launched following a woman's report that her gold and cash were stolen from her bag in Uzunköprü has identified her son as the suspect.
In the Mescit neighborhood of Edirne's Uzunköprü district, a woman contacted the police after realizing her handbag had been stolen from her home. Teams that launched an investigation following the report determined that the theft suspect was the woman's own son.
The investigation conducted upon the application of the woman, identified as E.Ç., confirmed that the jewelry and cash inside the bag had been taken. Police teams identified E.Ç.'s son, S.M.Ç., as the suspect in the incident.
It was reported that 1 thick gold bracelet, 1 'beşibiryerde' gold chain, 1 gold coin with an Ottoman tughra, 4 quarter gold coins, and 20 thousand TL in cash were stolen from the bag.
Following the report by E.Ç., who filed a complaint against her son, the police have launched an effort to apprehend the suspect and recover the stolen jewelry and money.
