Stabbed by her husband, who had a restraining order, while on a picnic with her daughter
A dispute between a couple in the process of divorce in Kocaeli ended in bloodshed. The woman was seriously injured after being stabbed by her husband, who was subject to a restraining order, while she was having a picnic with her daughter. A search has been launched to apprehend the suspect, who fled the scene.
The incident occurred yesterday at the Tatlıkuyu Valley Recreation Area in the Barış neighborhood of Gebze district.
According to the information obtained, F.D. (48) was having a picnic with her daughter and relatives when her husband, A.D., who is in the process of divorcing her, approached them.
A dispute broke out between the couple due to the existing restraining order. As the argument escalated, A.D. attacked his wife with a knife.
F.D., who sustained 11 stab wounds to various parts of her body, collapsed to the ground covered in blood, while A.D. fled the scene. Upon notification, medical and police teams were dispatched to the area.
The seriously injured woman, who received initial intervention at the scene, was taken by ambulance to Darıca Farabi Training and Research Hospital.
Police teams are continuing their efforts to apprehend A.D., who fled after the incident.
