Statement from Hatay Governor's Office regarding robbery allegations
The Hatay Governor's Office has issued a statement regarding allegations that 61-year-old A.K. was robbed in her home. It reported that the claim of a woman being robbed in her home in the Belen district was determined to be untrue.
A.K., who lives in the Sarımazı neighborhood, had applied to the police claiming that 2 armed individuals entered her home and robbed her of the gold bracelets on her arm. The Hatay Governor's Office reported that teams from the Provincial Police Department's Public Security Branch conducted an investigation into the allegations that 61-year-old A.K. was robbed in her home.
STATEMENT FROM THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE
In the statement, which noted that the teams interviewed A.K., it was stated: "In the interview with A.K., she stated that her own son, M.K., was depressed and needed money because he was gambling, that she had given her bracelets to her son about 2 months ago, that she had made a false statement to provide money to her son, and that the armed robbery incident did not take place."
