Statement on drinking water from the Yalova Governor's Office
Analyses conducted following the appearance of foam in the water at the Kurtköy diversion of Yalova's drinking water line have been completed. The Yalova Governor's Office has announced that there is no objection to consuming the water as drinking water.
On the evening of January 29, it was determined that there was foaming in the water at the Kurtköy diversion, and a water outage was implemented throughout the city. After approximately 1 day of water outage, water was restored to the city network, but residents were asked to use it only for cleaning and hygiene purposes.
The analysis work regarding the water by the Ministry of Health's General Directorate of Public Health has been completed.
In the statement made by the Yalova Governor's Office regarding the matter, it was stated: "Detailed analyses carried out by the Ministry of Health Public Health Laboratory regarding the foaming observed in the Kadıköy/Kurtköy regulator pool, which feeds our province's water source, have been completed.
As a result of the examinations, it has been determined that the water does not pose any risk in terms of public health.
In this regard, there is no objection to our citizens consuming the water as drinking water."
