Adverse weather conditions affecting the North Aegean have disrupted maritime transport in Çanakkale. GESTAŞ A.Ş., which provides transportation across the Dardanelles and to the islands, announced that many scheduled ferry services on the Kabatepe-Gökçeada and Geyikli-Bozcaada lines could not be operated on October 2.
According to the company's announcement, services on the two island lines will only be available at limited times. It was reported that other scheduled trips were cancelled due to the storm and poor weather conditions.
The scheduled departure times for the Kabatepe-Gökçeada line are as follows:
- - From Kabatepe: 17:00
- - From Gökçeada: 08:00
On the Geyikli-Bozcaada line, limited services will be carried out at the following times:
- - From Geyikli: 10:00 and 19:00
- - From Bozcaada: 09:00 and 18:00
Officials stated that passengers should check the current status of services before setting out to avoid any inconvenience. It was requested that GESTAŞ's official announcement channels and call center be monitored for any potential further changes.
