Storm in Istanbul briefly affects air traffic
The storm that hit Istanbul in the evening hours caused short-term disruptions in air traffic. Air traffic returned to normal as weather conditions improved.
Following the warning issued by the Turkish State Meteorological Service for Istanbul, adverse weather conditions that became effective in the evening hours caused disruptions in flights.
Some aircraft were diverted to alternative airports.
With the improvement of weather conditions, flights that were on hold completed their landings, and air traffic and flight operations gradually returned to normal.
