Stubble burning banned in Adana

The Adana Governor's Office has announced that stubble burning is prohibited in violation of the provisions set forth in Article 20 of the Environmental Law No. 2872. According to the decision, an administrative fine of 386 TL per decare will be imposed on those who burn stubble.

Stubble burning banned in Adana

Due to the decision taken in Adana, stubble burning has been banned, and an administrative fine of 386 TL per decare will be imposed on the person or persons who burn it.

In a statement made by the Adana Governor's Office, a decision was taken regarding those who burn stubble in violation of the provisions contained in Article 20 of the Environmental Law No. 2872.

In line with the decision taken, it was announced that an administrative fine of 386 TL per decare will be imposed on those who burn stubble.

In cases where the stubble burning occurs adjacent to forests and wetlands or within residential areas, the fine will be increased fivefold.

THE PROVISION IN THE LAW WILL NOT COVER ADANA

Furthermore, it was stated that the provision in the Environmental Law, which allows for stubble burning under the responsibility and control of governor's offices in regions where a second crop is planted annually, will not cover Adana due to the practice of second-crop planting in the province, and that stubble burning under the control of the governor's office will not be permitted.
