Suspicious object in the sea in Zonguldak

According to a statement from the Karadeniz Ereğli Municipality, a series of measures were taken under the instructions of the Karadeniz Ereğli District Governorship and the Coast Guard Command after a suspicious object was detected 60 meters off the coast and at a depth of 5 meters in the Göktepe area.

As of 8:00 PM yesterday evening, the Blue Flag Sevgi and Barış Beach, Merve Altı Beach, the recreational area, the water park, and their surroundings have been closed to use for security reasons until further notice.

While swimming in the area has been prohibited, teams from the District Police Department have taken extensive security measures on the road from the entrance of the water park to the end of Merve Altı Beach.

The teams warned local residents, who were moved away from the coastline, that entering the sea is dangerous and prohibited.

It was learned that disposal operations will be carried out in the morning hours along the coastline, where police teams and night watchmen are keeping guard.
