Terror in Ümraniye! They blocked the vehicle and opened fire: 2 injured, 1 critical
In Ümraniye, unidentified individuals blocked a vehicle during the night and carried out an armed attack. It was reported that 2 people were injured, one of them critically, and the attackers fled the scene.
The incident occurred around 02:30 on Necip Fazıl Boulevard in the Yukarı Dudullu neighborhood.
According to allegations, the path of the vehicle with license plate 34 KH 5727 was blocked by another vehicle, and long-barreled weapons were fired at the individuals inside. As a result of the incident, 2 people were injured, one of them critically.
Upon notification, police, medical, and crime scene investigation teams were dispatched to the scene. While the injured were taken to Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital and Sancaktepe İlhan Varank Training and Research Hospital after initial intervention at the scene, it was learned that the attackers had fled.
A large number of shell casings were found during the examination conducted by crime scene investigation teams. Due to the incident, the street was closed to traffic for a while by the teams using security tape. The street was reopened to traffic after the teams completed their investigation.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
