According to allegations, a group of young people, after the shop owner they were arguing with on the ground floor of their building allegedly brandished a weapon at them, first kicked and broke the shop's window and then fired 6 shots into the shop.
Upon reports from bystanders, police teams were dispatched to the scene. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
"THE PERSON WHO DID THIS ALSO LIVES IN THIS BUILDING"
Neighborhood resident Selçuk Polat Timur said, "Shots were fired. One of the kids probably did it with a converted blank-firing gun.
Those inside responded as well. They are ignorant, and so are the others. They showed a weapon, and he fired a weapon.
There are no deaths or injuries. That is our only consolation. Both sides are next-door neighbors.
The person who did this also lives in this building. They are children who grew up together. If the adults intervene, this incident will not escalate," he said.
