Traffic density increases on the road back to Istanbul
With one day left until the end of the Ramadan Feast holiday, vacationers returning to Istanbul have created heavy traffic on the Tekirdağ-Istanbul road.
Citizens who spent their holidays on the coasts of Thrace, Çanakkale, the Gulf of Saros, and the Aegean have begun their return to Istanbul as the 9-day Ramadan Feast holiday nears its end. This return movement has caused significant traffic congestion on the Tekirdağ-Istanbul highway.
In order to regulate the flow of traffic, traffic inspections, which were previously carried out by 4 teams and 8 personnel, have been increased to 22 teams and 46 personnel. Authorities stated that they expect traffic to intensify even further tomorrow, the final day of the holiday.
