Tragic accident in Erzincan: 5 people dead
Five people lost their lives in a collision between two cars in Erzincan. One of the vehicles caught fire upon impact and was rendered unusable.
Five people lost their lives as a result of a collision between two cars in the Refahiye district of Erzincan.
The car with foreign license plate I7640AT, driven by Hanifi A., collided with the car with license plate 46 KY 069, driven by Ahmet K.Y., near the village of Teknecik on the Erzincan-Refahiye highway.
Upon notification, health, police, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident.
The drivers, as well as Selvi A., Hüseyin A., and Doğukan Ş. who were in the cars, lost their lives at the scene.
One of the cars caught fire due to the impact and was rendered unusable.
Due to the accident, one lane of the road was closed to traffic.
