Tragic news: Police officer falls from cliff while mowing grass in Trabzon
A police officer who lost his balance and fell from a cliff while mowing grass in the Akçaabat district of Trabzon has lost his life. His father, who went after his son, was injured.
According to the information obtained, the incident occurred at the Hıdırnebi Plateau. Police officer Ahmet Çavuş, who was in his hometown for vacation, lost his balance and tumbled down a cliff while mowing grass with his father. Noticing the situation, his father, Ali Rıza Çavuş, also fell while trying to save his son.
Upon notification, gendarmerie, AFAD, and medical teams were dispatched to the region. During the checks, it was determined that Ahmet Çavuş had lost his life at the scene. The father, who suffered a broken leg, was rescued from where he was located as a result of the intensive efforts of the teams and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
The body of police officer Ahmet Çavuş was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue following the prosecutor's investigation.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
