Train accident in Bandırma avoided with no injuries
A passenger train accident in the Bandırma district of Balıkesir resulted in no injuries, by sheer luck.
According to the information obtained, the 17 Eylül Ekspresi train, operating under flight number 32003, departed from İzmir Basmane at 16:05, heading toward Bandırma with an expected arrival time of 22:00.
During the journey, after the train conductor lost radio contact with the official on the other end, the train struck the station wall while approaching its final stop.
It was learned that there were 15 passengers on the train, and no injuries occurred.
The passengers disembarked from the train cars on their own and moved to a safe area. No medical intervention was required, and it was reported that no passengers were transported to the hospital.
An investigation into the accident has been launched.
