Tram accident in Fatih: One woman loses her life
53-year-old Fatma Karaaslan, who was struck by a tram in Istanbul's Fatih district, has passed away in the hospital.
In the accident that occurred at the Haseki Tram Station on the morning of April 22, Fatma Karaaslan was severely injured after being struck by a tram while attempting to cross the road.
Karaaslan, who fell to the ground due to the impact, became trapped under the tram.
Emergency medical teams arrived at the scene quickly and, after providing initial intervention, transported Karaaslan to the hospital. However, despite all medical efforts, Karaaslan could not be saved.
The moment the accident occurred was captured by nearby security cameras. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
