Transit ban for tractor-trailers, trucks, and tankers on certain roads between Istanbul and Ankara
A transit ban has been imposed on tractor-trailers, trucks, and tankers on the D-100, D-750, TEM Motorway, and Northern Marmara Motorway between Istanbul and Ankara.
Due to heavy snowfall expected between 13.00 on Friday, February 21, and 13.00 on Sunday, February 23, a transit ban has been imposed on tractor-trailers, trucks, and tankers on the D-100, D-750, TEM Motorway, and Northern Marmara Motorway between Istanbul and Ankara.
While there is no ban for buses, it has been learned that vehicles carrying fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, milk, and medicine will be allowed to pass with a special permit.
It was also learned that vehicles caught on the road by the ban are permitted to proceed to the nearest facility or, if they are close to a center, to continue to that location.
