Truck loaded with chickens plunges into a ravine
In Bolu, a truck loaded with live chickens lost its brakes, failed to negotiate a curve, and plunged into a ravine. The driver was injured in the accident, and dozens of chickens died.
The accident occurred on the Bolu-Gölcük road near Emen village. According to the information obtained, the brakes of the truck with license plate 14 BJ 402, driven by M.S. and loaded with live chickens, failed while traveling from the Gölcük Nature Park road toward the city center near Emen village.
The truck, having lost its brakes, went out of control after the driver lost steering. The out-of-control truck failed to negotiate the curve and plunged into the ravine. The driver was injured in the accident.

The situation was reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center by other drivers in the area. Upon notification, health, fire, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region.
The injured driver, who received initial intervention at the scene by medical teams, was transported to the hospital.

Hundreds of the approximately 3 thousand live chickens loaded in the cargo bed of the truck that flew off the cliff died.
An investigation into the accident has been initiated.
