Turkish truck driver critically injured after shrapnel hits his truck in Iran

Hüseyin Fırat, who lives in the Bağlar neighborhood of the Reyhanlı district, makes a living as a truck driver. Fırat, who set off for Afghanistan with a load he picked up in Istanbul, unloaded his cargo in Afghanistan.

After unloading his cargo in Afghanistan, Fırat was on his way back when he was critically injured as shrapnel from a falling missile hit his truck while he was in the city of Tabriz, Iran.

The critically injured truck driver, Fırat, was taken under treatment at Zanjan Hospital in Iran. His mother, Hayriye Fırat, who is worried about her son's health, stated that she wants him to undergo surgery in his home country.

"While returning from Afghanistan, a missile hit in the city of Tabriz, Iran, and my son is currently receiving treatment at Zanjan Hospital in Iran."

Expressing her concern for her son's health, his mother Hayriye Fırat said, "My son took the load he picked up in Istanbul to Afghanistan. While he was returning from Afghanistan, a missile hit in the city of Tabriz, Iran. My son is receiving treatment at Zanjan Hospital in Iran. I am worried about my son's health and I cannot get any news. I felt terrible when I heard about the incident. My son needs to have surgery, but I do not want it to be in Iran. My son is currently in Iran and they told me his health condition is critical. I do not want my son to have surgery there. I want my son to receive his treatment in Turkey. I want my son to have his surgery in his own country," she stated.
