In Karaman, 17-year-olds I.Ç. and Ü.M. were critically injured in a knife fight that broke out in a park. The 15-year-old suspect, E.Ü., who was reported to have fled the scene, was apprehended and taken into custody by police teams shortly after the incident.
The incident occurred at Alparslan Türkeş Park, located in the Ahiosman neighborhood. According to the information obtained, an argument broke out between I.Ç. and Ü.M., who were in the park, and E.Ü. for reasons yet to be determined.
As the argument escalated into a fight, it is alleged that E.Ü. wounded the two children in various parts of their bodies with a knife he was carrying. After the suspect fled the scene, health and police teams were dispatched to the area following reports from bystanders.
Following initial intervention by medical teams at the scene, the injured children were taken to Karaman Training and Research Hospital by ambulance. It was learned that I.Ç. and Ü.M., who are undergoing treatment, remain in critical condition.
The fleeing suspect, E.Ü., was apprehended shortly after as a result of the efforts of the Yunus motorcycle police units. It was reported that proceedings regarding the detained suspect are ongoing.
The crime scene investigation team conducted an evidence collection process at the park where the fight occurred. The investigation initiated into the incident is ongoing.
