According to the information obtained, the incident occurred in the Alsancak neighborhood of the Konak district.

While the heavy rainfall effective in the city turned streets and avenues into lakes, Özge Ceren Deniz (23) and İnanç Öktemay (44) were caught in the rain.

MINUTES OF CPR PERFORMED

While the two individuals waited for help for minutes under the rain, no one could approach them due to the stray electric current. The resulting images were heartbreaking.

Health teams arriving at the scene performed CPR for minutes on Özge Ceren Deniz and İnanç Öktemay, who had been struck by the current.

The two people, who were resuscitated after intense efforts, were taken to the hospital by ambulances. The individuals, whose conditions were critical, lost their lives at the hospital where they were taken.
