In Istanbul's Küçükçekmece district, 16-year-old H.U. and her friend A.R. fell while attempting to climb down from a 3rd-floor apartment by lowering bedsheets. The two teenagers were seriously injured and taken to the hospital, where it was learned that A.R. is in critical condition.
The incident occurred in the morning hours on the 3rd floor of a 5-story apartment building on İkbal Street in the Gültepe neighborhood. According to allegations, H.U., whose father Ö.U. had placed her in a state orphanage after losing his wife some time ago, had run away from the facility with her friend A.R. and come to her father's home.

It is alleged that the father, Ö.U., noticed the situation and locked the two teenagers in a room to prevent them from leaving, subsequently notifying orphanage authorities. Unable to leave the house, H.U. and A.R. attempted to climb down by lowering bedsheets from the window.
As the girls were attempting to climb down, the bedsheet tore. One of the girls fell to the ground, while the other fell onto the roof of a coal shed, both sustaining serious injuries. Upon notification by bystanders, police and medical teams were dispatched to the address.

Following initial intervention by medical teams at the scene, the two teenagers were taken to the hospital by ambulance. It was stated that A.R. remains in critical condition.

While police teams conducted an investigation in the apartment, the father, Ö.U., was taken into custody and brought to the police station. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
