Unrest erupts after armed attack, neighborhood access blocked

According to the information obtained, 21-year-old Ulaş Birliker was shot in the head by E.K., with whom he had a feud, on 583rd Street in the Güventepe neighborhood of the Yenimahalle district.

SUSPECTS APPREHENDED

Birliker, who was taken to the Yenimahalle Oncology Training and Research Hospital by medical teams, lost his life despite all interventions. Following the launch of an investigation into the incident, the Homicide Bureau teams apprehended the suspects E.K. and C.Y. The suspects were arrested by the court after their procedures at the police station.

POLICE TAKE EXTENSIVE SECURITY MEASURES

Following the attack, a large group targeted several businesses in the neighborhood. Upon notification by bystanders, the district police department, police special operations, riot police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

While entry and exit points to the neighborhood were closed by the teams, extensive security measures were taken at the scene. In the work carried out by police teams regarding the incident, K.Ö. was also taken into custody yesterday.

It was learned that the procedures for the detained suspect at the police station are ongoing.
