Vatan Avenue to be closed to traffic for two days
The Istanbul Governor's Office has announced that Vatan Avenue and its connecting side roads will be closed until the end of the programs on August 23 and 30.
Due to rehearsals and ceremonies to be held in Istanbul as part of the August 30 Victory Day celebrations, some roads will be temporarily closed to traffic.
According to the statement by the Istanbul Governor's Office, the general rehearsal will take place on August 23, and the celebration ceremony and parade will be held on August 30. For this reason, on both dates, Adnan Menderes Boulevard (Vatan Avenue) and the side roads on the boulevard will be closed to vehicle traffic in both directions.
The closure will begin at 07:00 on August 23 and 30 and will continue until the programs conclude.
Alternative routes have also been designated for drivers. Atatürk Boulevard, the D-100 highway, the O-3 highway, Fevzipaşa Avenue, and Turgut Özal Millet Avenue can be used.
