Creek overflows in Artvin! Construction machinery submerged
In the Hopa district of Artvin, rising water levels due to heavy rainfall during creek rehabilitation work left two pieces of construction machinery stranded in the creek bed. The operators were rescued just in time, and there were no casualties or injuries in the incident.
According to the information obtained, while creek rehabilitation work was ongoing in the Sugören village area of Hopa district, the flow rate of the creek rose in a short time due to a sudden downpour. During this time, a concrete pump and an excavator working in the creek bed were left in the middle of the rising water. The operators of the construction machinery noticed the situation and moved away from the vehicles in time, and no injuries occurred in the incident.

The construction machinery was removed from the creek after the water level returned to normal.

Citizens recorded those moments second by second with their mobile phone cameras. The footage captured how the creek suddenly overflowed and the moments the construction machinery remained trapped among the waters.
