On the shores of the Süleymanpaşa district of Tekirdağ, dense accumulations of red algae have formed following a northeasterly storm. The algae, which are effective over large areas along the coastline, have drawn attention with both their appearance and the foul odor they emit. The algae, which washed ashore particularly due to the effect of the wind, have also created density on the sea surface.
Citizens walking on the beach expressed their surprise at the scene created by the algae, while also finding it difficult to stay on the beach for long due to the foul odor.
