Wanted for violence against women, caught by female police officers
A suspect wanted with a finalized 25-year prison sentence for crimes including violence against women, threats, and blackmail was apprehended by female police teams on duty in the Karşıyaka district of İzmir.
Teams from the Patrol Division of the İzmir Karşıyaka District Police Department conducted inspections in the Karşıyaka Bazaar and surrounding side streets.
During the inspection, an individual who saw the police attempted to flee from the teams into the side streets.

Following a pursuit, the suspect was shortly apprehended and handcuffed by female police officers. It was revealed that the detained suspect was wanted with a finalized prison sentence of 25 years and 22 days for crimes including violence against women, threats, blackmail, fraud, and forgery of official documents. The suspect was referred to the courthouse following the completion of procedures.
