Wanted with a 15-year prison sentence: Caught with fake lawyer IDs

Teams from the Kocaeli Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Branch, as part of their efforts to apprehend wanted individuals, determined that Murat E., who had a finalized prison sentence, was hiding at an address in the İzmit district.

Following this, an operation was carried out at the identified address with the support of the Special Operations Branch teams.

During the operation, Murat E. was apprehended and taken into custody, while searches conducted at the residence resulted in the seizure of 2 unlicensed pistols, 165 cartridges, 1 ballistic vest, 2 laptops, 3 mobile phones, 1 SIM card, and 2 fake lawyer identification cards.

Legal proceedings were initiated against the detained suspect for the crimes of "Violation of Law No. 6136, Forgery of Official Documents, and Using Others' Identity Information."

After the procedures at the police station, the individual was referred to the courthouse, where he was arrested by the court and sent to Kandıra Prison.
