Watched as restricted breed dog attacked cat: 'That's how it is, uncle'
In the Aliağa district of İzmir, a dog of a restricted breed left a cat it attacked on the street breathless. While those moments were recorded by citizens with a mobile phone camera, the owner of the dog, who defended himself by saying, "That's how it is, uncle," was taken into custody by police teams.
The incident occurred around 18:00 in the evening on İzmir Street. According to the information obtained, while M.G. (33) was walking on the street, the dog he was holding by a leash attacked a cat.
The pitbull-type restricted breed dog, which bit the cat by the throat, shook the poor animal back and forth and left it breathless.
While the cat was writhing in pain and dying, the moments when the dog shook the cat with its teeth were recorded by a citizen with a mobile phone camera.

'THAT'S HOW IT IS, UNCLE'
The footage shows the dog biting the cat by the throat and shaking it, and then the moments when it was neutralized by the hard kicks and chain blows delivered by the dog's owner.
M.G., who was reacted to by local tradespeople and citizens, defended himself against the citizens who were reacting to him by saying, "What should I do? That's how it is, uncle."

TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
Upon notification of the situation, the Aliağa District Police Department teams took action.
With the work carried out by the police teams, M.G. was caught and taken into custody within 10 minutes.

While it was learned that M.G. will be referred to the courthouse tomorrow, it was learned that the restricted breed dog that attacked and caused the death of the cat was taken to a shelter.
