Woman falls in Ihlara Valley, sustains serious injuries
A woman has been seriously injured after falling from a height of approximately 50 meters in the Ihlara Valley in Aksaray.
The incident occurred around 20:00 at the glass terrace in the Ihlara Valley, located in the Ihlara town of Aksaray's Güzelyurt district. According to reports, citizens watching the Ihlara Valley from the terrace witnessed a woman falling from a height of approximately 50 meters.
Upon notification, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
The National Medical Rescue Team (UMKE) and gendarmerie teams arrived at the scene shortly after and descended to the location where the 46-year-old woman, identified as S.K., had fallen.
The woman received initial medical intervention at the scene before being transported by ambulance to the Emergency Department of Aksaray Training and Research Hospital.
It was learned that the woman, who is currently under treatment, is in serious condition. While the gendarmerie teams are investigating the possibility that the woman may have jumped from the terrace, the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
