Woman injured after advertising board falls on her at metro station
A woman was injured after an advertising board fell on her while she was on the escalators at the Maltepe metro station.
Güner Yertek, who was using the Kadıköy-Sabiha Gökçen Airport Metro Line to get home from work, headed for the escalators after getting off at the Maltepe station.
At that moment, Yertek was injured in the head when an advertising board fell on her, and bystanders rushed to help.
Yertek was taken to the hospital after receiving medical intervention from the health team that arrived at the station.
It was learned that Yertek, who is not in life-threatening condition, filed a police complaint against those responsible.
It was learned that the metro station supervisor, N.U.İ., stated in their testimony as a suspect that work was being carried out at the metro entrance and that they did not know the name of the contractor firm.
The police investigation into the matter is ongoing.
