Woman missing for 3 days found dead by lake in Bolu
The lifeless body of 70-year-old Nuriye Bölükbaş, who had been reported missing in the Yeniçağa district of Bolu, was found by the shore of Lake Yeniçağa.
70-year-old Nuriye Bölükbaş, who had not been heard from since Thursday in the Yeniçağa district of Bolu, has been found dead by the shore of Lake Yeniçağa.
After failing to hear from Bölükbaş since Thursday evening, her relatives filed a missing person report with the police on Friday evening. Following the report, police, gendarmerie, and AFAD teams launched a search operation in the area.
The teams intensified their efforts around Lake Yeniçağa, where Bölükbaş was reportedly last seen. During the search, aerial scans were conducted with drones, and searches were also carried out on the lake using zodiac boats.
On the third day of the search, Sunday morning, Nuriye Bölükbaş's lifeless body was discovered by the lake shore. Following an examination by the public prosecutor at the scene, the body was taken to the hospital morgue to determine the exact cause of death.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
