Worker shuttle minibus overturns
25 people were injured in an accident in the Muratlı district of Tekirdağ when a shuttle minibus carrying factory workers overturned.
The accident occurred around 15:30 on the Muratlı-Büyükkarıştıran highway, near a chemical factory.
According to allegations, the shuttle minibus with license plate 59 S 6215, driven by Raif A. (63) and carrying workers from the Akın Raşel Textile Dyehouse, went off the road and overturned due to the slippery surface caused by rainfall.
The driver, Raif A., and 24 workers in the vehicle were injured in the accident. Upon notification, 6 ambulances and 2 fire trucks were dispatched to the scene. Police teams ensured traffic safety on the road.
SCENES OF CHAOS
While scenes of chaos unfolded at the accident site, 16 of the injured were taken to the Emergency Department of Muratlı State Hospital.
Those with serious injuries were transferred by ambulance to the Emergency Department of Tekirdağ Dr. İsmail Fehmi Cumalıoğlu City Hospital.
While police teams ensured traffic safety on the road, an investigation into the accident has been launched.
