Workers' dormitory engulfed in flames
A 3-story prefabricated workers' dormitory located at a construction site in Hatay was engulfed in flames. The fire, which caused panic among the workers, was brought under control after 2 hours of work, leaving the prefabricated dormitory reduced to ashes.
The fire broke out around 21:30 at a construction site located in the Gülderen neighborhood of the Antakya district. A 3-story prefabricated dormitory where workers were staying was engulfed in flames.

The fire, which caused panic among the workers, quickly spread throughout the dormitory. The fire was brought under control after 2 hours of work by the Hatay Metropolitan Municipality fire department teams, leaving a large area unusable. According to initial reports, there were no injuries in the fire.

The Hatay Metropolitan Municipality also stated in a post on social media: “Our teams are responding to the fire that broke out in the prefabricated guesthouse where our fellow workers at the Gülderen Residences construction site were staying. We are on the field with 9 vehicles and 27 personnel. We are relieved that there were no deaths or injuries.”
