Workers poisoned by chemical substances hospitalized
In the Keşan district of Edirne, 3 workers who were poisoned by chemical substances while inside a water tank they had entered to paint, and 2 other workers who were also poisoned after entering the tank to rescue their colleagues, have been hospitalized.
According to the information received, 3 workers who entered a water tank in the Keşan Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) area, where infrastructure work is ongoing in the Paşayiğit neighborhood, began painting.
After a while, the 3 workers, poisoned by chemical substances, called for help from their colleagues.
Two workers who entered the water tank to rescue their friends were also affected by the chemical substances and became ill.
Upon notification, gendarmerie, fire department, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
The workers, who were removed from the water tank, were taken by ambulance to Keşan State Hospital, where they were placed under treatment. It was reported that the health status of the workers is good. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
