Young woman who sought help on social media has provided her statement
A university student who claimed she was being blackmailed in a social media broadcast has provided her statement in the presence of a psychologist.
According to the information obtained, police teams took action after a 19-year-old young woman identified as F.A. posted a broadcast stating that she was being blackmailed on social media.
It was determined that the young woman was in the Safranbolu district of Karabük. Authorities established contact with her, and through a coordinated effort involving the Karabük Governorship, the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor, the Provincial Police Department, and the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, security and protective measures were implemented.
The young woman was subsequently taken to the Karabük Courthouse, where she provided her statement in the presence of a psychologist in the 'Judicial Interview Room (AGO)' by the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor, and was then taken back to the Provincial Police Department.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
