12 journalists working at Nefes Gazetesi, which began its publication life on December 19, 2024, have been dismissed.
One of the newspaper's reporters, Özlem Güvemli, stated the following in a post on her social media account:
"My path has parted with Nefes Gazetesi. That is the polite way to put it. In reality, I was fired along with 12 of my colleagues. I do not know why I was fired because no one felt the need to provide an explanation. But I have a few guesses. I wish them well, and I hope for the best for myself as well."
