Halk TV Main News Bulletin anchor İrfan Değirmenci has announced his departure from the channel. 

Delivering a farewell speech at the end of the program, İrfan Değirmenci bid farewell to his viewers.

Değirmenci stated, "There are a thousand and one ways to fight against the oppressor. It is always possible to find new paths. One of those paths is television. It is an effective path, too. But it is not the only one.

In short, new paths where we can walk alongside those whose journey passes through the struggle for equality, freedom, and justice will surely be found. With the hope of meeting again as soon as possible and walking new paths together," he said.

Meanwhile, another piece of news regarding a departure from Halk TV has arrived. Değirmenci's editor Ertuğrul Albayrak also announced that he has parted ways with the channel.

In his statement, Albayrak said, "I came from a small Anatolian city, Antakya. I worked very hard. My luck was becoming the editor for İrfan Değirmenci, first on 'Çalar Saat' and then on Kanal D's 'Günaydın'. We loved much and were loved much. Our viewers never left us. But this is as far as it goes. As he also said, TV is not the only path. We will surely meet somewhere else." he stated.

STATEMENT FROM HALK TV REGARDING İRFAN DEĞİRMENCİ

Halk TV released a statement on its social media account regarding İrfan Değirmenci, who announced his departure from the channel. The statement confirmed the departure and wished İrfan Değirmenci success in the political arena.

The detail regarding the Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP) in Halk TV's message drew attention. The message noted that Değirmenci would be continuing his struggle within the ranks of TİP and wished him success.

Değirmenci was a parliamentary candidate for the Workers' Party of Turkey from İzmir in the last general elections but was not elected. During his election campaign, Değirmenci took a break from the program he hosted on Halk TV and returned to his post after the election.
