Another reaction to Kılıçdaroğlu comes from pro-government media: 'If you can't even hold a group meeting, how are you a party leader?'

Kılıçdaroğlu's inability to deliver a group speech at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) has caused public debate. Journalists aligned with the government, in particular, have used this development to bring issues of parliamentary support and leadership within the party to the agenda.

The topic was discussed on the "Medya Kritik" program broadcast on TGRT.

Speaking on the program, Cem Küçük pointed to the number of deputies required to form a new group within the CHP and recalled the claim that the number of deputies supporting Kılıçdaroğlu within the party is between 50 and 60. Küçük stated, "You said at least 50-60 deputies support Kılıçdaroğlu. He can convene a closed group with 40 people. Can't he find 40 deputies? If he can't hold an open group meeting to avoid trouble, then let him hold a closed one? If you can't even hold a group meeting, how are you a party leader?"

TGRT Ankara Representative Fatih Atik, meanwhile, claimed on the program that Kılıçdaroğlu is avoiding going to Parliament to prevent a potential controversy from escalating. Atik also alleged that if the deputies supporting CHP Chairman Özgür Özel were to resign from the party group, Kılıçdaroğlu could form his own group and take the floor at parliamentary group meetings.
