Aykırı and Muhbir executives had been detained: Second wave in the operation!
Following the detention of Aykırı Editor-in-Chief Batuhan Çolak and Süha Çardaklı, the manager of the social media account named Muhbir, 4 more people have been detained. Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ shared a post on social media regarding the incident. Özdağ stated, "In this country, being a Turk and defending the rights of the Turkish nation results in being handcuffed."
Aykırı Editor-in-Chief Batuhan Çolak and Süha Çardaklı, the manager of the social media account named Muhbir, had been arrested on charges of 'inciting the public to hatred and hostility or insulting' and 'publicly disseminating misleading information to the public'.
4 DETAINED IN THE SECOND WAVE
Sözcü columnist İsmail Saymaz stated that a second wave of the investigation had been carried out and that 'Aykırı' and 'Muhbir' editors Furkan Uludağ, Serkan Kafkas, Serdar Sönmez, and Ümit Yasin Perinçek had been detained.
"IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT HE MADE NATIONALIST POSTS"
In the report prepared for Kafkas, it was stated that "It has been determined that he made nationalist posts in his entries." A WhatsApp message from Uludağ stating, "A group of Syrian refugees attacked the shop of citizens who have been making meatballs for 15 years. It was learned that the citizen will leave the neighborhood," was considered a criminal element.
27 DETAINED, 8 ARRESTED
The relevant section from Saymaz's article is as follows:
“We used to wake up to Ergenekon and Balyoz waves.
In those days, the army and the judiciary were dismantled by using lunatics who took oaths on weapons and called for a coup by exploiting the name 'Kuvayi Milliye' as a pretext.
These days, anti-refugee nationalist journalists are being detained and arrested in waves, using a few marginal and racist groups as an excuse.
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Special Investigation Bureau is conducting an investigation for inciting the public to hatred and hostility and insulting, and publicly disseminating misleading information to the public.
In the first wave, 27 people, including the Editor-in-Chief of the online news site www.aykiri.com, Batuhan Çolak, and the editor of the popular Twitter account 'Muhbir', Süha Çardaklı, were detained, and eight were arrested.
Three days ago, the second wave came.
This time, 'Aykırı' and 'Muhbir' editors Furkan Uludağ and Serkan Kafkas, along with two young men named Serdar Sönmez and Ümit Yasin Perinçek, were detained.
REACTION FROM ÖZDAĞ
Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ, who shared a post on social media regarding the incident, said the following:
"Serkan Kafkas, who was detained and kept at the police station for 4 days for making Turkish nationalist statements and was referred to the courthouse this morning, was handcuffed despite there being no need for it. In this country, being a Turk and defending the rights of the Turkish nation results in being handcuffed. Meanwhile, the provocateurs who injured 47 police officers and caused one officer's skull to crack are free. Justice is the foundation of the state. After the Turkish nation's state was taken from its hands, there is neither a state nor justice left."
Özdağ also announced that the detained Serkan Kafkas had been arrested.
Özdağ's post is as follows:
"Turkish nationalist Serkan Kafkas was arrested on suspicion of flight and tampering with evidence. The British occupation forces had also arrested Turkish nationalists."
