Deadline for the Turkey Journalism Achievement Awards is February 12!
Applications for the Turkey Journalism Achievement Awards, one of Turkey's most prestigious journalism awards, close on Monday, February 12.
The Journalists Association of Turkey has set Monday, February 12, 2024, as the final deadline for applications for the "Turkey Journalism Achievement Awards."
These awards are presented for works published between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023, in the fields of Press, Television-Radio, and Internet Journalism.
There are three special awards within the scope of the Achievement Awards:
Nezih Demirkent Award: A special award established in the name of former Journalists Association of Turkey President Nezih Demirkent, given to a journalist or media outlet based on their work over the course of a year.
Women's News Award: A special award proposed by the TGC Women Journalists Commission and presented by the TGC Board of Directors.
Niyazi Dalyancı Peace Journalism Award: The Peace Journalism Award, established in the name of former TGC Deputy Secretary General Niyazi Dalyancı, is determined directly by the Board of Directors.
Applications are accepted in the fields of Press, Radio-Television, and Internet Journalism. In the Press category, awards are given in the branches of "News, Column, Research, Interview, Page Layout, Caricature, and Photography." In the Television category, applications are evaluated in the branches of "Television News, News Program, News Research, Documentary, Culture-Arts Program, Sports Program, and Camera Work," while in the Radio category, they are evaluated in the "News and Program" branches. In the Internet Journalism category, awards are given in sections consisting of "Internet News, Internet Interview, Original Internet Column, Podcast News, Podcast Program, Digital Platform News, and Digital Platform Program."
