Famous figure bids farewell to Halk TV... 'Our 2.5-year journey has come to an end'

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Can Kakışım, who has served as a commentator for Halk TV for 2.5 years, has announced that he is bidding farewell to the channel. Making a statement via his social media account, Kakışım said, "It has been a challenging and instructive process for me. I assure you that during this time, I did not say or write anything other than what I thought and believed in."

In his post, Kakışım wrote the following: 

"I have some sad and slightly delayed news for the friends who enjoy watching me on TV. Our 2.5-year journey with Halk TV has come to an end, and we have parted ways. I started here at a very critical turning point for Turkey, and I witnessed these important moments here. It has been a challenging and instructive process for me. I assure you that during this time, I did not say or write anything other than what I thought and believed in. I only tried to explain my own truths from my own perspective. The appreciation regarding my ideas and contributions is, of course, up to the public.

I would like to thank the Halk TV audience for all their support. Let this short statement be a greeting and a sign of respect for the interest of the friends who called and wrote to ask how I was doing when they stopped seeing me on screen."
