Hülya Avşar comments on monopolization debates: 'Things are being blown out of proportion'
Hülya Avşar made statements regarding the recent debates on monopolization in the media world and the controversies surrounding talent management.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into Ayşe Barım, who manages Serenay Sarıkaya and several other artists, following allegations in social media posts and news reports.
It was reported that the investigation includes charges such as 'violation of the freedom to work' and 'blackmail.' Additionally, a travel ban has been imposed on Barım.
Hülya Avşar touched upon the recent debates in the media world regarding monopolization and talent management. Stating that the controversies surrounding managers are being unnecessarily blown out of proportion, Avşar shared her views on the matter.
"THESE ARE BEING BLOWN OUT OF PROPORTION"
"I have always believed in the importance of individual power. I think you need to develop yourself. You shouldn't need anyone to promote you. That's why I haven't had such an experience. But they are blowing things way out of proportion," said Avşar, evaluating the developments in the sector.
Recalling that there was also monopolization in the sector years ago, Avşar said, "Ertem Eğilmez had a team, and hardly anyone outside of them could make a proper film. This is actually in the nature of the business. Life is like this; the strong crush the weak, it's that simple. This issue grew because those who were hurt made too much noise. Similar things happen in every profession," she stated.
