WHO IS FARUK DEMİREL?
He was born in Ankara in 1970. He began his journalism career in 1989 at the Türkiye newspaper. He worked as a sports and political news reporter at the Türkiye newspaper. During Tansu Çiller's term as Prime Minister, he became a Prime Ministry correspondent. During this period, he also worked at TGRT.
Subsequently, he transferred to CNN TÜRK at the end of 1998 during the channel's establishment. He served as a parliamentary correspondent and editor. In 2005, he took a break from his profession and was appointed as the Press Advisor to the Ministry of Agriculture.
In 2006, he became the Ankara News Manager for Star TV, in 2008 the Ankara Representative for Habertürk, and in August 2009 the News Coordinator for ATV. He established the Ankara Office of A Haber and served as its first Ankara Representative.
In 2016, he worked with Deputy Prime Minister Veysi Kaynak under the staff position of Prime Ministry Press Advisor.
At the beginning of 2018, he became the Deputy Ankara Representative for CNN Türk.
Faruk Demirel, who had been serving as the Ankara Representative for Haber Global since May 2018, was appointed as the General Manager of Haber Global on February 18, 2020.
