General Manager of Ersan Şen's channel Ekol TV has been announced

Ekol TV, founded by legal expert and television commentator Prof. Dr. Ersan Şen, will begin broadcasting in January 2024.

It has been learned that Faruk Demirel will take the seat of General Manager of the channel.

Faruk Demirel, who was appointed as the Ankara Representative for Show TV News on May 6, 2022, has reached an agreement with Ersan Şen for the position of Ekol TV General Manager.

WHO IS FARUK DEMİREL?

He was born in Ankara in 1970. He began his journalism career in 1989 at the Türkiye newspaper. He worked as a sports and political news reporter at the Türkiye newspaper. He became a Prime Ministry reporter during the term of Prime Minister Tansu Çiller. During this period, he also worked at TGRT.

He then transferred to CNN TÜRK at the end of 1998 during its establishment. He worked as a Parliamentary Reporter and Editor. He took a break from his profession in 2005 and was appointed as the Press Advisor to the Ministry of Agriculture.

In 2006, he became the Star TV Ankara News Manager, in 2008 the Habertürk Ankara Representative, and in August 2009 the ATV News Coordinator. He established the A Haber Ankara Office and served as its first Ankara Representative.

In 2016, he worked with Deputy Prime Minister Veysi Kaynak with the staff title of Prime Ministry Press Advisor.

At the beginning of 2018, he became the Deputy Ankara Representative for CNN Türk.

Faruk Demirel, who had been serving as the Haber Global Ankara Representative since May 2018, was appointed as the General Manager of Haber Global on February 18, 2020. On March 25, 2021, he transferred to the Ciner Media Group as the Deputy General Manager of Show TV News. Demirel was appointed as the Show TV News Ankara Representative on May 6, 2022.
