Hüseyin Günay was fired... Harsh reaction from Serdar Akinan to NTV! 'It is dishonorable'
Journalist Serdar Akinan reacted harshly to the dismissal of Washington representative Hüseyin Günay from NTV following the leak of his private conversation, criticizing the decision as 'dishonorable'.
Journalist Serdar Akinan, who is currently abroad, reacted sharply to the dismissal of Washington representative Hüseyin Günay from NTV after his private conversations were leaked to the press.
After being informed of the situation by a friend, Akinan reacted to the incident in a video he recorded in his car, where he essentially lashed out at NTV executives.
Günay had been caught on AP cameras while sharing his assessments regarding the AKP delegation's visit to the US with a fellow journalist. In the footage, Günay stated that there was serious competition within the AKP, that Hakan Fidan's 'Kaan' remarks were intentional, and that there was tension between three groups within the government—the circles of Bilal Erdoğan, Hakan Fidan, and Selçuk Bayraktar. He also expressed that Turkey had not gained anything from the US visit.
Defending Günay, who was fired after these remarks became public, Akinan reacted to the decision by saying, 'Everyone is already talking about these things. Terminating his employment based on the leaking of a private conversation is dishonorable.'
