Hicran Aygün's funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 18, following the noon prayer at the Cengiz Topel Mosque in the Hürriyet neighborhood of Kağıthane, after which she will be laid to rest at the Hasdal Cemetery.

Hicran Aygün worked for media organizations such as Yeni Yüzyıl, Radikal, Evrensel, and Nokta Magazine. Having served as managing editor at Star Gazetesi, news coordinator at Aydınlık, and editorial coordinator at Takvim, Aygün most recently held the position of managing editor at Yurt Gazetesi.
