Journalists have been on strike for 100 days! First 'reinstatement lawsuit' won in Sputnik strike

Sputnik Turkey journalists, political party representatives, and unions gathered in front of the Süzer Plaza in Beşiktaş, Istanbul, on the 100th day of the ongoing strike.

TGS President Gökhan Durmuş announced that workplace representative Nejdet Eksilmez won his reinstatement lawsuit at the first hearing. Additionally, the employer's request to halt the strike was rejected.

Durmuş called on the authorities to address the illegality and stated that the resistance would continue.

The statement made on the TGS social media account noted the following: “Our righteousness is finding validation on every platform. We have two pieces of good news from the judiciary: The employer's request to halt the strike has been rejected, and Workplace Representative Nejdet Eksilmez has been granted reinstatement at the first hearing. Just as we won in court, we will also win on the picket line.”
